The Fourth of July is almost upon us, and Las Vegas is gearing up for one of the most festive Independence Day celebrations in recent history. With the Strip back to full capacity, expectations are high for a show-stopping Independence Day. From Las Vegas to Henderson, there will be no shortage of brilliant fireworks displays this July 4—or of great vantage points to watch them.
Fourth of July Fireworks on the Las Vegas Strip
Last year, seven resorts participated in fireworks displays on the Strip. In 2022, the skies will be dominated by Caesars Palace’s display. The show is expected to last for more than 13 minutes and will kick off at 9:00 p.m. While the fireworks will emanate from Caesars, there are many places on the Strip that offer fantastic views of the festivities. Here are some of our favorite below.
SkyPod at The STRAT

As both the tallest building in the city and the site of its own fireworks show, making your way to the STRAT for Fourth of July fireworks in Las Vegas is a no-brainer. For a unique vantage point, consider paying a visit to the SkyPod, where you’ll get a bird’s eye view from the 360 degree windows. The STRAT is on the north end of the Strip, so you’ll have a good chance of catching the rest of the Strip’s fireworks shows from here, too. The entire tower will also be illuminated in red, white, and blue starting at dusk.
Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World

The Strip’s newest hotel, Resorts World, is hosting a grand opening celebration at its very own Ayu Dayclub on July 4, 2021. The show starts at 9:00 p.m. with a concert by Miley Cyrus, which will also be streamed on the hotel exterior’s 100,000-square-foot LED Screen—which, by the way, is among the largest LED displays of its kind in the United States. A massive firework show launched from the Resorts World rooftop will follow at 11:00 p.m. Las Vegas Boulevard onlookers can watch the video stream and fireworks for free.
High Roller Observation Wheel at the LINQ

The views from the High Roller are stellar 365 days a year, but the experience is even better on Independence Day. Take a ride on this enclosed observation wheel (currently the tallest Ferris wheel operating on the planet) to soar more than 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip for an amazing view of fireworks on the Strip and beyond. You can even enjoy a cocktail or two by booking one of the 21+ Happy Half Hour cabins.
Margaritaville at the Flamingo

Located directly across the street from Caesars Palace, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is one of the prime spots to watch Fourth of July fireworks in Las Vegas. This bar and restaurant is located at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino and will be celebrating the holiday with an open call brand bar with appetizers and guaranteed seating with a view to catch the fireworks show at 11:00 p.m.
Chateau Nightclub at the Paris Hotel

Although some of the best views at the Paris Hotel are from Beer Park (which is unfortunately already sold out), you can still see some pretty amazing fireworks from the rooftop at Chateau Nightclub. The party starts at 9:00 p.m. and includes a $100 beverage credit, plus a guaranteed night of high-energy dancing and fun. You might also enjoy a toned-down evening at restaurants Hexx Kitchen + Bar or Alexxa’s. A table for 4 at Hexx starts at $400 and includes a food and beverage spend in the amount of your purchase.
Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars Palace

Beat the heat by renting a cabana or daybed at the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars Palace. You’ll have your choice of seven pool areas and a spectacular view of the evening fireworks from the pool deck. Go swimming, enjoy some lavish sunbathing, play swim-up blackjack, and enjoy tableside food and beverage service to make a day of it. If you’re more the nightclub type, you’ll also probably have a decent view from Omnia.
Foundation Room at the Mandalay Bay

Watch the fireworks show on the Strip from the 63rd floor of the Mandalay Bay at the Foundation Room (inside the House of Blues). From the outdoor patio, you should be able to get a good look at the fireworks blasting off from all seven hotels. Since Mandalay Bay is on the south end of the Strip, you’ll skip the most crowded part of the city but still get to enjoy sweeping views and handcrafted cocktails.
Free Places to Watch 4th of July Fireworks on the Strip
If you want to watch Fourth of July fireworks on the Las Vegas Strip but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, we’ve got you covered. Note that many of these spots on Las Vegas Boulevard will be very busy. Although it’s not required, you may want to bring a face mask if you are not fully vaccinated (or pick a less crowded locale).
- The Purple Zebra recently opened a new location at Caesars Palace. This daiquiri bar, which replaced the Spanish Steps bar, is a great spot for watching the fireworks show right in front of the resort. Just get there early, grab yourself a fruity frozen cocktail, and prepare yourself for a big crowd that’s likely to be standing room only.
- The pedestrian bridge between Horseshoe Las Vegas and the Bellagio is perfectly situated to catch fireworks launched from the rooftops of the nearby Caesars Palace, Venetian, Treasure Island, and more.
- Employees say that the top level of McCarran International Airport parking garage offers an excellent full view of all the firework displays on the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding areas. Of course, this method isn’t completely free unless you manage to get in and out in thirty minutes or less. (Challenge accepted?)
- The top floor of the Orleans parking garage is also rumored to have surprisingly good views of Fourth of July fireworks on the Strip. Parking is free, and you can always treat yourself to some table games, a nice steak dinner at Alder & Birch, or a cocktail at Bailiwick while you’re here.
Fourth of July Fireworks in Downtown Las Vegas
Free
The Plaza Hotel and Casino will reprise its annual fireworks show in downtown Las Vegas. Just make sure your view isn’t blocked by the Viva Vision canopy, and you should be able to see this firework show from most parts of the downtown area. You will have three chances to catch a fireworks show, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 10:00 p.m. nightly. For an even better view, book the VIP package for a private rooftop viewing. Main Street Station or the new Circa Resort should be excellent viewing spots as well.
Other Places to Watch Fireworks in the Las Vegas Valley
You don’t have to make the trek to the Strip or downtown Las Vegas to join in the festivities. Check out these other firework displays around town.
Henderson
- The City of Henderson will host a Fourth of July event at Heritage Park (350 E. Racetrack Rd.) featuring a fireworks display and a live performance by Lonestar. The event is free to attend and runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Green Valley Ranch Resort will also be doing fireworks starting at 9:00 p.m. The best viewing spot for this fireworks show will be in the backyard pool area. Entry is free to guests staying at the hotel. Also try nearby Paseo Vista Park for a free place to view the show.
- Lake Las Vegas will launch fireworks at 9:00 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and water to the Village for the best vantage point. Note that outside food and alcohol are not permitted.
- M Resort is setting off fireworks at 9:00 p.m. You can tune into the following iHeartRadio stations to listen to accompanying patriotic music: 93.1 The Mountain, The Bull 95.5, Sunny 106.5, and Real 103.9.
Summerlin
Red Rock Resort is hosting Fireworks by Grucci of New York on July 4, 2021 at 9:00 p.m. Guests will be able to view the show for free from the pool area or the amphitheater. Non-guests also watch for free from the south parking lot.
Northwest
Floyd Lamb Park in the northwest part of the Valley is hosting an Independence Day celebration from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be a free fireworks show at the end of the night in addition to music, vendors, and activities.
