Although there are always some changes happening throughout Las Vegas, the changes to the Las Vegas Strip are the ones that you would really want to keep up with.
2018 promises to bring new developments and changes on and around the Strip. Following are some of the most noticeable changes:
1. Park MGM
Monte Carlo is transforming into a luxurious new resort named the Park MGM. This renovation offers a luxurious experience right in between Park Theater and T-Mobile Arena and across from The Park. Two of the most alluring details include the elegance of sophisticated restaurants such as Primrose and the magnificent design of the new lobby. This property is bound to become a favorite because of all that as well as new rooms to curl up in at the end of the day.
2. Virtual Reality Coaster
The newly upgraded virtual reality coaster opened this year on February 7, 2018 at the New York New York Hotel and Casino. It is called the Big Apple Roller Coaster. Measuring 4,777-feet and topping out at 67 mph, this is the longest VR roller coaster in the world. Furthermore, it is also the first virtual reality roller coaster in the world that features a 180-degree heartline dive and twist. But, the use of VR enhancements is the real thrill as they take riders wearing headsets on an amazing journey through the Nevada desert.
3. New Esports Arena
Among the changes to the Las Vegas Strip, sports enthusiasts and gamers now have their own way to entertain themselves in Sin City. Esports Arena was opened on March 22, 2018. This gaming arena is the result of a partnership between eSports Arena, Allied eSports, and MGM Resorts International. It fills two-floor, 30,000-feet space at Luxor. The arena features a production studio, telescopic seating, a 50-feet LED video wall, and drink and food offerings from famed chef and restaurateur Jose Andres.
4. The Fly LINQ
If you are an adrenaline junkie who seeks the ultimate thrill during your nights out, then you are in luck! Caesars Entertainment recently announced Fly LINQ, which will be the very first zipline of the Las Vegas Strip. Fly LINQ will give ten riders the chance to fly 1,080 feet in either seated or a flat position over The LINQ Promenade. With an increasing demand for adventurous attractions, the Fly LINQ will surely reel in guests of all ages and offer them a new perspective on Vegas. This zipline will be opening late 2018.
5. Star Wars VR
Las Vegas is one of the few cities to get its very own, location-based Star Wars-themed VR. Star Wars VR allows players to immerse themselves in the Empire’s takedown. Opened on April, 2018, tickets for this astounding virtual reality experience are available and they are well worth the cost.
