If you’re visiting Las Vegas be sure to schedule a Grand Canyon helicopter tour. When you do, you’ll find that there are a lot of different options. You don’t have to just fly over the canyon once. If you have an entire day or want to really experience the location, then carve out a full-days’ worth of time. Here are some fun things to do during your helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon:

  • Eagle Point. This is a stop in Grand Canyon West. It’s a popular stop for helicopter tours because this is the location of the Skywalk. The Skywalk is a glass-floored deck that allows you to walk over the canyon and look straight down. It’s a breathtaking view that you don’t want to miss when you visit. Be sure to find out if admission is included with your helicopter tour—most times it isn’t so be sure to bring cash.
  • Desert View Watchtower. This is another popular stop when you’re flying over the Grand Canyon. Here, you can get a panoramic view of the canyon. There are two circular buildings that offer a rich history lesson of the land. Petroglyph-style paintings are features as created centuries ago by the Anasazi people.
  • The Hualapai Village. This is another popular highlight of the Grand Canyon. The village offers authentic life and a real Western adventure. You can ride on horseback or you can take an old-time wagon ride to the rim of the canyon. There is a shop with Hualapai artwork, plus they offer dances, dining and cafes in the area.

If you’re fortunate enough to take a Grand Canyon helicopter tour, be sure to find a tour that gives you a full Grand Canyon experience. There are plenty of activities you can partake in to make your trip that much more exciting.
