How to Spend the Day at The Rio Hotel & Casino

If you are looking for something off the strip in Las Vegas, you might as well try The Rio Hotel and Casino. You can get there from the strip with one of their free shuttles, which are to be found at points on the strip. There is a bonus for going to The Rio as being off the strip makes it a bit more affordable in terms of food and accommodation. How can you spend a day at The Rio?

Shopping

The Masquerade Village offers 60,000 square feet of shopping space. Popular merchandise on offer includes clothing, toys, cosmetics, sports memorabilia, and artwork. There is the Pavilion Florist with beautiful and exciting flower bouquets for all occasions. Other shops to check out include:

Mini-Golf

Go to the 13,000 square feet “KISS themed” KISS by Monster mini golf course. It is an 18-hole kaleidoscopically designed space with glow in the dark surfaces, special effects video and other KISS themed attractions. There is the KISS museum and the rock and roll wedding chapel.  Rockers will enjoy the live DJ performance featuring music and trivia.

Voodoo Zipline

Take the Voodoo zipline and experience a thrilling ride with 360 degree views of the Las Vegas strip. The zipline launches from the top of The Rio’s 50-story Masquerade tower. The ride goes the 800 feet to the Ipanema tower reaching speeds of 33 miles per hour, and soaring 400 feet in the air. This thrilling ride lasts 1 minute and 10 seconds. The zip car can accommodate 2 passengers.

Casino

The Rio Vegas casino is a masquerade themed 150,000 square feet of gaming space with over 1,200 slots and all the popular table games. Guests can also experience fantasy sports and mobile sports wagering.

Nightlife

The Rio’s Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub and Lounge enthusiasts enjoy panoramic views from 51 stories high. Guests can enjoy the view from inside or walk up the steel staircase to the patio where there is a live DJ. The Voodoo Steakhouse is one floor below for delicious gourmet steak.

The Voodoo nightclub was voted 2015 Best Las Vegas Locals club by the Casino Player magazine. Go there and dance under the stars.
